I have written before about what amazing things blogging has brought me in the last few years, but I am most thankful for the lovely friends I have met through writing a blog. Most of my friends here in Germany I have met in some way or another online. At our thanksgiving celebration last week I had to laugh when someone asked how I had met each of my friends. Besides Andreas and a few friends from his hometown, pretty much everyone there I had connected with first online. And blog friends really are the best. Casey is a fellow expat living from the US, who writes a blog detailing life abroad and some amazing travels she and her husband take around Europe. They wanted some photos around Wiesbaden where they have spent the last few years, before the head back to the US this spring. Not only are David and Casey incredibly photogenic, they are just the SWEETEST couple. I think we spent a big majority of the afternoon laughing as they showed me around town. The day I spent in Wiesbaden with them, we were so lucky with unseasonably warm weather and stunning fall foliage on display. Autumn might just be my favorite time to take portraits outside. Those colors make me oh so happy. It is days like this that I really cannot believe this is my job, and feel oh so thankful for the amazing couples my job connects me with. Thank you Casey and David for showing me around your adopted hometown and for being so much fun to photograph!
