The wildflowers throughout California get a lot of attention while they are in bloom, but I find them equally as beautiful after their time has passed. Once bright beautiful yellow blooms, as the flowers dry they turn an incredible shade of mauve and I feel love with the giant fields of purple covering California in the spring.
