I am so excited to share the first of our many shoots from our time in Saint Tropez this summer, which was published on Style me Pretty today! Y’all probably know how much I love elopements, since I have gone on and on about my love for them before, but they really are the sweetest. I was super lucky to get to photograph several elopements this year and it is such an honor to be the only guest at a wedding and to be able to document true love. This inspiration shoot was inspired by Kiera Knightley’s city hall wedding a few years ago in the South of France. She wore a dress that was already hanging in her closet (of course it was Chanel couture, but hey) and married as the perfect it-girl should. I remember seeing a photo of her and thinking how perfectly laid back and yet oh so chic she looked and I just love the idea of chic simplicity on the wedding day. When I spotted this cropped top and mini skirt from ambacherVIDIC, I knew it was the perfect look for our elopement, which we paired with blue platforms as Maria’s “something blue”.
